About

Fishermans Friend

My name is Amy, I live in Scotland, and I write about all kinds of things – sometimes small things, like my cat. Sometimes big things: the internet, creativity, the future, good books I’ve read.

I was commissioned to write for the National Library of Scotland in 2021 (you can read my piece here). I was shortlisted for the John Byrne Award for Critical Thinking in 2020, and won Scottish Young Thinker of the Year (the Richard Wild Award) in 2014. My writing has also appeared in the Scottish Review and Product Magazine.

    1. Waaaa a Liebster Award! I feel so accepted by the mighty, beautiful blogosphere. I’ll have my answers once I’ve sat down and had a good think 🙂 Thanks so much for the nomination, and keep up your brilliant blog x
